quarantine room reset

Writer's picture: Madeline GreenMadeline Green

one of my goals for april was to move everything from my dorm into my room at home, declutter everything, and then redecorate.

although my closet is still very much maximalist, I got rid of two big bags of clothes, leaving this rack, a few baskets, and one other rack in my small walk-in closet. this clothing rack is from amazon (https://amzn.to/39YyVFf) it's a little weak but it's inexpensive and gives off that trendy-youtuber-living-in-NYC-who-knows-more-about-plants-than-i-do vibe. you know?

I finally bought some real plants on test so maybe I will become the trendy youtuber in NYC who knows a lot about plants.

i also thought that an easy way to make my room look trendy without spending a lot of money is by painting my own wall art on inexpensive watercolor paper (https://amzn.to/2VfNnU6).

I also made these citrus paintings a while back and I still really like them. i got my brother to make me this shelf two christmases ago as well. and then, of course, the fairy lights. no matter how much these will go out of style and look more and more like a tumblr post from 2014, I will always use fairy lights because they are simply far too cute and cozy to get rid of. hey, at least I took my one direction posters down.

I hope that these pictures inspired somebody to go clean their room and make it cute while we're all in covid-19 lockdown!
